Casual Conversations with the Creator
- July 31, 2003

"Why have you treated so lightly the gifts I have given you? When will you accept that I am your Father and I have a mission for you? I shall not let any other person do the work that I have destined for you to do. Since you are still unwilling, your important work goes undone. You would receive such joy and fulfillment if you would only accept your own destiny and purpose." Pg. 76
Peniel G.G.G. has a great sense of humor. He says if you want to contact the "co-author" use prayer. This book was actually written back in 1985 and the author was finally able to have it published in 2003. Peniel's mission is to assist others in finding the truth.
With humans in despair all over the planet, a book that answers the most difficult questions in life is highly needed. Whether or not Jesus himself talked to Peniel G.G.G. is not an issue for me. God does talk to us in many ways. Through reading the Bible or through reading books we need to find. I don't limit God. The strange thing is, when I read words, I hear a voice in the words and the answers and the questions seemed to have "different" voices.
This book does contain deep insights into life and answers questions most of us haven't even been brave enough to ask. At times it is downright poetic and frankly, who hasn't wished they could talk to God over coffee?
"In my early twenties, I carried a tattered sheet of paper in my wallet with 20 questions that haunted me, such as: What is Love? Why are we here?"
The Topics Include: Love, Man's Reason for Being, Why Man Chooses Wrongly, What Brings Man Good Fortune, What Man Wants, Twelve Reasons Why Man Exists, Man's Single Largest Problem, Why Man Is Not His Natural Self, How to Be Your Natural Self, Some Sample Questions, Why Do We Hurt The Ones We Love, What Man Fears Most, Joy and Suffering, Power, Perfection, Our Greatest Barrier To Truth, The Answer, Eliminating Pain and Suffering, Life Is For Enjoying, The World, Love, One More Time, Selected Love Passages, Peniel's Ode.
I love the ideas about God loving people through us. I think the author should be a bit careful about talking about love only taking care of needs and giving pleasure. There is so much more to love. While he doesn't specifically say what "giving pleasure" means, he seems to definitely say that the motives should be "pure and appropriate." This could be confusing for people if they miss that information on pg. 11. The whole Man is God issue might be more like man is a mini-god.
Chapter 6 is rather interesting. There is a list of reasons why man exists. It is interesting that man exists to die, but it makes sense. There is also a list of sample questions on pg. 111. On page 120, you will get a good laugh. Sounds like his wife needs a little talk with God. The poem at the end is quite beautiful and I think Christians will especially relate to the style and content.
There is an interesting conversation on pg. 148 where "God" talks about how we are really the reason the world is in pain. By giving we could change the world. There are also some great "rules" for how to stop suffering in your life and turn your suffering into loving God more. Wow, this is difficult at times, but I'll try it!
An inspirational collections of conversations with God, to assist you in answering some of the deep questions of the soul.
